A history of Wet ‘n Wild, the nation’s first waterpark –
In the mid-1970’s, George D. Millay, founder of SeaWorld, left his successful marine-life theme park to concentrate his efforts on creating the world’s first waterpark, Wet ‘n Wild – Orlando. The park opened in 1977 and was the first in amusement history to feature participatory water activities and attractions. Today, Wet ‘n Wild
