T-Rex At Downtown Disney

Have you ever dined with a dino before? Well if you have a mammoth appetite you now can, because at Disney World's T-Rex Restaurant situated at Downtown Disney you'll find all sort's of Dinosaur's who are only to happy to share a meal with you.

T-Rex opened it's door's in 2008 and since then it's popularity has grown and reservation's are sometime's advised to save wait time's.

Once inside you'll be drawn to the huge scale of the restaurant and it's amazing prehistoric decor. Animatronic dinosaur's are everywhere, each with there own individual move's and sound effect's. The T-Rex is a firm favourite especially when it roar's, to the delight of the watching kid's (of all age's).

Different part's of T-Rex have different theme's as listed below.

• Ice Age
• Fern Forest
• Geo-Tech Room
• Shark Room
• Shark Bar

Each area has it's own attraction's, for example, there's a very large moving octopus sitting on top of the Shark Bar plus a carpet that resemble's moving water.

The restaurant was created in the style of the Rainforest Cafe, but on a grander scale. If you've ever visited The Rainforest cafe you'll know that every so often the animal's there get rather excited and start to make a lot of noise. Well at T-Rex it's a similar idea but in this case it's a meteor storm with special lighting effect's that put the dinosaur's into a frenzy.

The restaurant has great area's to keep the kid's amused including an archaeological dig area. There's also Build A Dino, from the Build A Bear company where kid's can make there very own personalized dinosaur.

When it come's to the food and what's on offer at T-Rex then you'll not be disappointed. Portions are big and there is a huge menu to choose from. All the meal's have Jurassic sounding name's like, The Lost World Chicken Salad Sandwich or Layer's Of The Earth Lasagne.

The kitchen area of the restaurant is easily visible with the chef's firing up huge's flame's into the air to add to the atmosphere.

Before you leave there's always' the souvenir shop where you can by tee shirt's and other memorabilia from your visit.
