Welcome to Orlando's tallest roller coaster. At 17 stories' high and reaching top speed's of 65 mph this fairly new ride at Universal Orlando will surely leave your knuckle's whiter than white.
Rider's start their journey in a slightly unconventional way by traveling vertically up to the top of the ride. From here the high speed thrill's begin with six very close encounter incident's, a record breaking loop plus several other loop's and twist's. The main loop on the ride is quite unique, as at the top of the loop the coaster twists to give the rider a totally different perspective.
What make's The Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket different from other roller coaster's is the ability to choose your music for the ride. Before your two car coaster take's off you can choose from numerous track's to listen to, depending on your mood. There's a choice of Rock, Club, Country, rap and pop, each with several song's in each category.
As well as the music option, rider's will be filmed with high tech camera's throughout their experience so at the end of their ride they can purchase a dvd complete with their chosen soundtrack of their entire ride.
The roller coaster's themselves' display different coloured lighting effect's, as does the track at various point's so the overall sight of the attraction is quite stunning.
To describe this ride in two word's it would be large and spacious. Large because of the visually stunning loop and tall starting point and spacious because unlike some other roller coaster's this one isn't crammed into a small area. Instead the design of it is spaced out and stretching along a large area which give's the rider a real feeling of speed.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a fairly new ride but is proving to be one of the most popular at the park.
